At O’Delish we are passionate advocates of healthy eating and love feeding people and we recognize the need for good quality gluten free baked goods. As our business has evolved our customers requested more specialized food. The most prominent was gluten free. We had developed for these customers first muffins and cookies. We then tried our hand at bread and came up with a very nice soft chewy bread that got rave reviews. As the demand grew it was important to us to change over to a gluten free environment to make sure our products could be available to not only customers with wheat intolerances but also those with celiac disease.

So what is gluten? Gluten is the name for the storage proteins found in wheat, rye, barley, spelt and other closely related cereal grains. It acts as a binder and gives lovely structure to breads and baked goods. Some people are either sensitive to gluten, or are afflicted with celiac disease which means they cannot digest gluten.

At O’Delish we felt that celiac and those with gluten intolerance should not be restricted to bland, dry baked goods that seemed to be the only ones available.  We have become very adept at converting recipes.  Because most people on a gluten free diet were not able to spend the time or energy to make all of the food they wanted daily O’Delish has evolved into a Gluten Free Bakery to improve the quality of gluten free food available in the Fraser Valley.

We use no preservatives or additives, no hydrogenated fats, no peanuts or tree nuts. We source organic ingredients where possible and make everything from scratch.

We are family owned not a franchise. Therefore we are able to create our own recipes and customize them with our client’s feedback. We love to hear about your favorites. Send us an e-mail so we can work on items you love and try and accommodate your request in the future.

We are also dedicated to making this a healthy planet for the next generation and encourage responsibility for generating garbage. As much as possible our packaging is minimal, eco friendly, recyclable, reusable and in some cases compostable.
